Sheboygan North Congress Legislation

Posted on March 27, 2008 – 8:40 am by: Jon Voss

With this week being spring break for most of the students in the state, I figured there might be a few problems with coaches getting legislation to their students for this weekend’s Sheboygan North Congress. Fear no more! You can download the legislation packet right here.

Sheboygan North looks forward to seeing youall this weekend!

If Stumbris doesn’t play, Mike Traas losses a point. (Just kidding Mike, but seriously - we all want him to pick the Jayhawks as the National Champion and laugh when they fail.)

Wisconsin Forensics Daily NCFL Judge Intiative

Posted on March 10, 2008 – 11:42 am by: Nick Bubb

Wisconsin Forensics Daily has decided to lend its resources to schools from outside of Wisconsin who are attending the NCFL Grand Nationals in Appleton. We have made available our judge list-serv to all schools interested in hiring local judges over Memorial Day Weekend.

We are asking all of our judges to register with the WFD judge list-serve and we are asking all coaches to recommend their judges join the list so that we can reach out to our friends from other states as best we can. Because of large travel costs, many schools simply cannot fly their own judges to Wisconsin. Therefore, it’s imperative that Wisconsin showcases its hospitality. Judges are going to be needed for LD, PF, and Policy Debate as well as in Student Congress and Forensics.

Our judge list is free and puts judges in contact with coaches who need qualified individuals. You can find information about the judge list by clicking the judge tab above. Several requests have already been forwarded to our judge list. If you’re not already registered, you’re missing out!

Practice Extemp Questions

Posted on March 5, 2008 – 5:02 pm by: Nick Bubb

I went a little over board in writing extemp questions last, and I wanted to share them with everyone. Here are the extemp questions from the JMM Tournament:

Domestic Round 1 – Election, Democrats

1.) Will the Presidential Election hinder the Democrats’ chances to retain Congress?
2.) Will the prolonged primary battle hinder the Democrats’ chances of winning the White House?
3.) Which is more important to voters: Rhetoric or Policy?
