Thursday is the make or break day for contestants still in main event, supplemental, or consolation events. By the end of the day, one will have either made a final round or not. Later tonight, the finals of HI, DI, and Duo will be preformed at the Cox Pavillion at the UNLV campus with the remaining events going on Friday. Here’s a list of the Wisconsin folks still in the hunt for a National Championship:

  • James Madison Memorial has Matt Scales, Chris Tate, and Sarah Arbaje still in Prose and Poetry after round 5 (~top 75).
  • Appleton East has three contestants still in Prose after round 5(~top 75).
  • Kristen Wisniewski has advanced to round 5 in Extemp Commentary (~top 75).
  • Numerous people are still competing in Storytelling or Impromptu

Good luck to all of those competing today. Remember, there’s more than one way to make a final round.

3-0
Sheboygan North KM
SPASH SM

2-1
Neenah OO
Appleton East CM
SPASH IW

Tomorrow:
The 3-0’s will debate one another. Both teams are due negative, so a random draw will determine sides. SPASH IW and Neenah OO will draw for a bye. The team that does not receive the bye will debate Appleton East CM.
